Having been claimed “A real Hong Kong Tycoon’s canteen” I can’t agree more… Once we reached there I saw all the luxury cars dropped off the passengers in tycoon stlye…real tycoon style. How exciting!!! And the first page of the menu which boasting about their Exclusive dried aged Abalone from Japan starts from HK$ 4,000 to 20,000 made me even more thrilled.
One thing, I can’t leave this post without talking about is the service there and especially the whole Hong Kong these days. They’ve changed…I don’t know why and since when… My last trip to Hong Kong was years back before the British returned the island to China. Now they smile and say Hello and say thank you for comming. Good change…. And this restaurant, I give 5 star for thier good service.
After went through the whole menu with excitement, we went on with our life by ordering this crispy chicken, we were told that it is a must to order.
Nice crispy skin, juicy and tender birdie…
Ha-kao and Siew mai, they are a must to order when you go to dim sum place
If you have dim sum in Thailand, automatically, you will be served with soya sauce but not in Hong Kong unless you ask for it. To me, to have on its own is very tasty and with soya sauce will spoil it, especially at this place.
This is what I’d been looking forward to have…Steamed rice rolls with beef filling , can’t find it anywhere in Thailand, please tell me if you find out where… the other one is prawn filling, i find it not so exciting that much but the sauce is nice…
Crispy roasted pigeon … no one liked it so, I had the whole bird by myself…Yumm
Char siew and roasted pork … these two are both nice and tasty , the roasted pork is so crispy…that’s good enough for me
Braised beef brisket …my all time favourite dish. The gravy is thick with nice aroma
The last one Beef Noodle with gravy, don’t ask me how to order this. You have to order in Cantonese otherwise you will get something else. I carry my phone with this photo and i will not get the wrong thing.
After this big feast at lunch, we walked back from Wanchai to IFC Mall…too full to get cramped in the MTR and we have another big dinner waiting for us in 4 hours later…at the Caprice…Four Seasons Hotel.
